Del Monte (France) is seeking aย Senior Sales Representativeย for its Sales Department, on aย permanent contract, starting As Soon As Possible.ย 

Reporting to the Sales Director (Fresh) based in our Orly offices, you willย assistย with various tasks:ย 

  • Sell Fresh products on the French market according to yearly planย 
  • Develop sales and margins on products marketed by Del Monteย 
  • Visit Rungis market customers and service providersย on a daily basisย ย 
  • Manage sales forecasts and communicate effectively internally toย maintainย service levels.ย 
  • Establish,ย maintainย and build relationships with your customer contact, coordinating across functions to ensure consistency of communication.ย ย 
  • Internal management and communication: ensure all stakeholders are fully informed of customer activities and involved asย appropriate toย ensure the highest possible standard of service.ย ย 
  • To be knowledgeable of the market,ย trendsย and forward activity.ย ย To be aware of the competitors within the sector and supply/customer base.ย 
  • To build promotional activity plans by product area to support the development of the business. Undertake promotional reviews.ย 
  • Provide budget information andย forecast, by customer and product.ย ย To manageย the productย pricing to deliverย anticipatedย returnsย ofย the business.ย ย Delivery of sales and profit targets.ย 
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure the administrative follow-up of each file โ€“ Ensure the proper payment of ordersย 
  • Provide competitive intelligenceย 
  • Follow-up of stocks and actions when neededย 
  • To ensure that all contracts/terms of supply, payment terms, ORDโ€™s and marketing support are appropriately documented and implemented, have theย appropriate levelย of authorization and conform to Company policy.ย

Prerequisites:ย 

  • At least 5 years of experience. in the fruit trade โ€“ excellent knowledge of the marketย 
  • Very goodย knowledge of the commercial circuit and relations with supermarketsย 
  • Good standard of spoken and written French and English language skills.ย 
  • Provenย track recordย in a customer facing sales/marketing environment. Proven experience of retail pricing, promotional pricing, cost price increase negotiation, as well as contract extension negotiations.ย 
  • Demonstrateย a clearย knowledge and understanding of the product category.ย 
  • Communication and interpersonalย skills;ย demonstratesย clear communication skills and is at ease and confident in discussion, even in hostile environments. Beingย a team player, able toย interfaceย and influence acrossย the variousย internal departments.ย 
  • Commercially astute, able to evaluate financialย scenarioโ€™s, with the aim of steering profitability. Must be able to prove understanding, and implementation of promotional knowledge, Hi/Lo strategy, and the return on investment of promotional funding: in brand and own label.ย 
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office.ย 
  • Presentation Skills,ย demonstratesย structure in presenting business proposals.ย 
  • A flexible approach to working.ย ย Expected to travel on Company business and it is alsoย anticipatedย that the job holder willย be requiredย to stay away from home.ย
